Ted Pella supplies lab and pathology equipment. Some of the specialised pathology equipment uses standard DE blades. They have two typesof DE blade on offer – the main difference is that one is “degreased”. I chose the degreased ones and paid 3 dollars more.
They come in a brown box pack of 250 blades individually wrapped in white paper. The price is fairly high, and the company said on the web site “a good alternative to Feather blades”. In terms of price, it’s exactly the same as the 200 pack of Feather blades, you just get 50 blades more.
The blade itself has no markings at all. Just plain silver. In terms of the shave, they were not as sharp as the Feather. They still give a clean shave but I was expecting a bit more for the price. In fact, I’m not sure I would push this blade past two shaves.
